Andre` is also a consultant for many organizations within the decorative painting community, manufacturers, and retailers.
He divides his time between teaching, consulting and working in the field.
As a craftsperson, finishers should know the characteristics of all decorative painting and plastering mediums.
Understanding what’s on the market and how to use it helps to better interpret clients'
needs and develop the perfect finish for their environment.
When should you use oil vs. water and why?
Which plaster choice will work better for your client, acrylic or lime?
Explore the principles of mapping out the characteristics of individual mediums to create a system for your business.
Use any available decorative painting and plastering product with greater success.
In this class, Andre` Martinez will lecture and demonstrate as well as allowing students
to conduct hands on exercises explaining the medium characteristics of paints, plasters and glazes.
This class will run Tuesday(Aug 9th) 9am-5pm.
