MICHEL NADAI: Master Artisan

Michel Nadaï is an award winning Decorative Painter and instructor,
running a successful decorative painting business and school in the Southwest of France.

Best Craftsman of France since 1994, Michel received various other awards throughout his professional life,
and most recently the title of Master Artisan in 2002.

Michel began his career at the renowned Châtelet Theater in Paris where he worked in theater and stage decors for almost ten years.
He decided to specialise in decorative painting, and subsequently left Paris for his native Southwest of France to open his own atelier.

Michel is a multi-talented decorative painter, with 20 years of experience in this profession.
His strength is that he excels in a wide range of disciplines, from wood and marble graining, to trompe-l’œil ornaments and painted murals.

Michel is the founder and owner of the renowned Nadaï-Verdon Advanced School of Decorative Painting.
Established in 1992, his school offers very high quality teaching and techniques, training students in the fine tradition of French Painted Decor.

Michel has taught to students from all over France, Europe (Luxembourg, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden…), Canada, USA, Japan…
He continues to transmit his savoir-faire and passion for decorative painting.

A regular participant of the International Salon, Michel also held numerous personal exhibitions in France, Tokyo and other European countries.

Michel will be teaching a beautiful Ornament painted in Trompe-l’œil at the Dallas Faux Expo...

    

This will be an all-day Trompe l'oeil Panel instructional lecture/demonstration.
Michel will be working on a Trompe l'oeil Ornament panel.
During this demonstration Michel will cover techniques of light, shade,
shadow, deterioration, relief and recesses.

Questions will be addressed in an ongoing fashion.
Camera and projector combination will be set-up to allow
for the artist's every stroke to be shown on the big screen.
Intermittent breaks will be taken to accomodate Expo Booth visitation for students as well.
This course runs from 9am-4pm Wednesday(Aug 10th) with a one hour lunch.
Course Tuition is $250.00/ person.
